Fabric Protection Usage and Terms

Usage: What to do when a spill happens
Before blotting a spill or scraping solid residue, check the colorfastness of the fabric by blotting an inconspicous portion with a damp, clean, white cloth. If the color lifts, your fabric is not colorfast. DO NOT PROCEED. CONTACT LEADER'S CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTION.

If the fabric is colorfast, clean by blotting the area with a damp, absorbant, white cloth or paper towel. DO NOT apply water directly to the stained area. Call Leader's Customer Service for further instructions.

  • For Liquids: Absorb as much of the liquid as possible by blotting, never rubbing, with a clean, absorbent, white cloth or paper towel. Never force liquid through fabric.

  • For Solids or Semi Solids: For spills such as butter, remove excess by gently scraping with a butter knife. Work from the edge of the spill toward the center to prevent spreading to other areas.

  • If the fabric is Rayon, Silk, or Wool, DO NOT PROCEED. CONTACT LEADER'S CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Important Care Instructions
All fabrics, whether treated or not, require regular care to keep them at their best. Loose dirt should be vacuumed and brushed away before it becomes embedded and harder to remove. Clean away spills and stains quickly. The longer they remain on the fabric, the harder they will be to remove!

ALL STAINS OR DAMAGE MUST BE REPORTED TO LEADER'S CUSTOMER SERVICE WITHIN FIVE (5) DAYS OF OCCURRENCE

Prior To Calling Leader's Customer Service

  • Locate your original store invoice or receipt
  • Have the date and time of the spill occurrence

What Does the Fabric Protection Warranty Cover?

  • Any food or beverages normally consumed by humans.
  • Human and pet bodily fluids and vomit (excluding feces).
  • Mold or mildew.

Warranty Exclusions
Failure to follow Leader's fabric care instructions will void this warranty. Any stain or damage not listed under "Warranty Coverage" is excluded. Haitian Cotton and Denim fabrics are not warranted.

Terms Of Service
This service agreement applies only to new residential-use indoor furniture purchased from Leader's Casual Furniture. Replacement furniture must be purchased from Leader's Casual Furniture. If staining or damage from normal household use occurs within the warranty period and a technician cannot remove the stain or repair the affected area, Leader's will replace the affected item or refund the purchase price of the service agreement at Leader's discretion. This service applies to the original owner only.

What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not apply to normal soiling from everyday use, commercial use, outdoor use, human perspiration, human hair or body oils (stains from hair and body oil are considered normal soiling), neglect, abuse or misuse, tobacco product stains or damage, stains caused by dyes, felt tip markers, ink or ink transfer, nail polish, prolonged exposure to fire or heat, smoke, bleach, corrosives, substances which destroy or change color in fabrics, adhesives, gum, wax, animal stains or damage other than pet urine, odors, stains caused by incontinence, accumulated stains or damage, multiple stains or damage, unknown stains or damage, floor samples or as-is furniture, stitching or binding, seam seperation, fraying, stretching, defects causing discoloration from flaws in manufacturing, manufacture markings, fading, non-colorfast materials, furniture in storage, furniture in transit, furniture stained or damaged in home movement, failure to follow Leader's care instructions, excessive water stains or damage, and personal injury stains or damage. NOTE: Cleaning prior to calling Leader's Customer Service, falsified information and missing scheduled technician appointment will void the warranty without a refund and the customer will be held responsible for the technicians work bill.

Fabrics Not Covered
Denim, "X" cleaning coded fabrics, Haitian Cotton, any naked animal skin or fabric, ultra suede, flax and velveteen.
